design process

Step 1: First Consultation (free)

• Discuss general ideas of what potential client is looking for their property

• Provide verbal rundown of our design process and its short and long term benefits..

• A design contract and design sample portfolio will be sent to client later that same day or following morning for review

  and consideration.

Step 2: Site Visit and Measurements

• Upon receiving signed design contract and design fee, Landscape Designer will meet on site to get measurements of area

  to be designed as well walk the site one more time for a more in-depth site analysis.

  more time and take photos.

• For this step, clients would not need to be present (Just permission and open access to property).

• A 24x36 blank site plan will be constructed from the measurements.

Step 3: Pre-Design Consultation

• A pre-design consultation meeting will be scheduled in the office (Or client’s home if that is preferred by client).

• We will discuss everything we discussed from the first consultation but in more detail (Social & recreational space, layout preferences, material types, ETC).

• Pre-design meeting takes about 30-60 min depending on scale of design.

• 5-10 business days after pre-design consultation will come the first set of sketches and/or renderings.

Step 4: Design Collaboration

• Once first set of documents are sent and we recieve feedback, we will collaborate on next set of sketches/renderings.

• Feed can either be discussed via email, phone call, or on site depending on client’s preferences.

• We will repeat the feedback/revision process as long as needed until client is happy with their design down to the last detail.

• This part of process can take 1-3 months depending on how quickly we receieve feedback (Can take longer if needed as well!)

Step 5: Delivery of final documents

• Once final layout is set, we will provide final construction documents via email and/or print.

• If client is working with another contractor or needs HOA approval for landscape construction, we will submit

  documentation to them as well if requested.

• For hoa clients, we will revise final documents if needed for hoa approval.

Step 6: Construction Estimate

• We will provide an estimate for the design implementation once final documents are sent (And approved by HOA approval if

  needed).

• We will make as many revisions to contract as needed per client’s request.

Step 7 (optional): Budget based revisions

• Once design construction estimate is sent and client would like to make revisions to design, we will proceed with budget

  based revisions if a certain budget would like to be met.

• We will provide as many budget based revisions as requested.

Step 8: Design Implentation

• Construction process begins.

Construction Process

Once the design process is over and you would like to proceed with the design implantation, we will begin construction.
